Company Stage Manager
John Rowland has been in the business for over 12 years and is currently the Master Carpenter of the London Palladium. Previously he was Head Of Stage of the Cambridge Theatre on the RSC's production of Matilda and prior to this was Head Of Stage of the Dominion Theatre.
John began his professional career at the Lyceum Theatre Crewe as a technician, from there he moved on to Manchester’s Palace Theatre. Following 2 years in Manchester he went on to work at The Regent Theatre Stoke on many Touring and West End productions, whilst also freelancing as a lighting designer for many local productions. John then went on to become the Deputy Master Carpenter on the West End production of Disney’s The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, where he spent 2 years before returning to Stoke's Regent Theatre as Senior Technician.
John’s various interests in and knowledge of the theatre industry have recently found him more freelance work as lighting designer and set designer for Christian Paul Productions' pantomime Sleeping Beauty, lighting designer for The Full Monty and set and lighting designer for Steelworks Academy’s Shockwave. John has also worked with Cirque Du Soleil on their international tour of Varekai.
He is very much looking forward to working with Hidden Talent Productions and hopes to part of something audiences will enjoy.
