Resident Director

Helmi trained at Middlesex University and California State University East Bay. Her main focus throughout her degree was directing. Her directing debut was at Barons Court Theatre on a new writing piece called Sweet or Dry?. Since then Helmi has directed Mourning Becomes Electra and Greenland at Middlesex University.

Helmi has also co-directed another new writing peice Antagone at The Space. Assisting credits include: The Decorator and How The Other Half Loves for Jonathan Holloway and I Ought to be in Pictures for Edward Max all at Frinton Summer Rep, and Last of the Red Hot Lovers for Adam Sibbald, at The Bridewell.

Helmi is an Associate Director for Alea Theatre. Helmi directed the world premiere production of Heaven Sent at the New Wimbledon Theare Studio for Hidden Talent Productions.
