ALEX HUGHES
Technical Manager & Lead Designer
Alex trained at Middlesex University in Technical Theatre. He is currently a senior events technician at the Birmingham REP.
Previously Alex was resident Theatre Designer and Technician for Epsom College where he designed sets, lights and sound for The Crucible (2008), The Madness of George The III (2009), A Midsummer Night's Dream (2009), The Boys from Syracuse (2010), Macbeth (2010), You Never Can Tell (2010). He has designed lights and sound for 1984 (2008), lights and pyrotechnics for Hansel und Gretal (2009). He did the scenic arts, special effects, pyrotechnics and lighting on Blythe Spirit and The Vortex (2009). In 2011 he designed Arms And The Man and Bugsy Malone.
Alex co-wrote Heaven Sent at the New Wimbledon Studio and also made his design debut with Hidden Talent Productions, having previously sound designed for the company.
